Does anyone that is old like me remember a small black little 1/4 inch piece if gin-sing or licorice or it may have ben anise that came in a small envelope or box. You would just put one on your tongue? This came to mind last night and I have not seen these for years. It is bugging me. thanks My oldest daughter is 63 and she does not remember this.

They are Sen-Sen. The package says
" Created in the mid 1890's. Sen-Sen "Throat Ease and Breath Perfume" is the first commercial breath freshner in the USA. Valuable to "Singers and Speakers". Sen-Sen's blend of licorice and rare herbs effectively mask odors from smoke, food or drink."

Oh, yes, how well I remember Sen Sen as a child. I remember the adults using it as a breath freshener, but I used to ask for some of it as a candy treat. I also remember my grandmother using some sort of powdered tooth powder (not toothpaste) to brush her teeth. Thanks for the memory, lol!
