Thinking about this.......when my son was born premature (by 3 months) he lost his colon, which is the highest part of our body that uses bacteria. Therefore, his immune system was extremely weak. Eight moths later, when he was finally able to come home, I had asked his specialists if we should find other homes for our 3 dogs and 2birds, to keep him healthier. Their response? No, keep him around them, for as he grows, his immune system will learn to fight the allergies, then in the long run, he will live a healthier life. I was skeptical at first, knowing his lungs were under developed. (at birth, my thumb to the first knuckle, was larger than his lungs) anyway, long story short, he is 6 now, no allergies, no major medical problems, perfect heart, no more oxygen.........just perfect! In every way. Doesn't even have a colostomy bag any more! Praise GOD!

Heard that from a doctor in 1974. Sure took long enough for the info to get out. :)
My boys were willing to get up close & personal with dirt to insure their good health. In the interest of science I allowed them to be 'dirty'.
