Here's my canine helper, Little Wolf. His breed is "Native American Indian Dog." He just turned 3 years old.

My best friend for years was a malamute/wolf cross. I did not find him, he found me. I arrived at work one day and he was sitting in my parking space. He weighed in a 160lbs and standing with his paws on my shoulders he was a good few inches taller than me. He had a gentle loyal spirit and I only saw him get agro once, a couple of huskys had come onto the property and were getting frisky with the chickens, Guru just took off after them and that was that. He lived to a ripe old age of 12 and passed with popcorn on his breath. It was his favorite treat. I miss him still even though it has been a few decades since he has been gone. I called him Guru as he taught me some important lessons. Never run when you can walk, always fully investigate something before you commit to it, and to turn around three times before you sit down. All kidding aside he was such a treat to share time with and if my feet were cold I could always bury them in his thick coat of hair. Thanks for bringing up memories of my dear friend.
