Love the "Don't Touch" quilt - great job on it.

I was at a small show recently and a woman had several fleece blankets hanging for sale. Her grandson (about 5) was with her and wanted to touch her quilts. I didn't know they were her quilts and gently suggested that most quilters didn't want their quilts touched at shows.

She promptly told me they were her quilts and he could touch them...as she walked away her grandson (who had had his hands in his mouth) proceeded to walk away with her ... rubbing every single quilt as he went past it -- grubby wet hand sliding from one end to the other end of the quilts in that entire row.

Sigh... I tried but when you have someone who makes blankets (2 pieces of fleece sewn together and nothing else done isn't a quilt to me imho ... sorry to offend anyone with that comment) and doesn't appreciate the labor of love that others have put into their work shouldn't allow their child/grandchild to touch anything.

I decided then that I would not put any of the older family quilts on display at that location in the future.
