I've been doing this for years so I can't blame it on old age - I see a bruise on me somewhere and can't figure out how I got it. Or vaguely remember bumping into something. Right now it is a red spot on the back of my hand - I sort of remember either burning it or maybe a cold injury (metal shelves in walk-in freezer at the food shelf where I volunteer).

Our present Rav4 is 20 years old;. I dread the thought of having to learn how to operate a modern car! We joke that the Rav, barring accident, will outlive us. I love that old car.

This is a fun thread!

I find myself looking for the foot pedal when using my embroidery machine.

I live in SoCal where we spend a lot of time in our cars (sitting in traffic forever, it seems). When I would finally arrive at work, I would hurry into the building, sit in my chair, scoot up to the desk, and reach for my seat belt! Getting old has nothing to do with it.

I never have a problem pushing in the clutch. I never and never plan on driving a stick.

Automatics for me.

Had supper last night with a switchboard operator. She plugged cables in and out.

I still use my slide rules.

First tractor I drove was a Case with a hand clutch. I couldn't reach the pedals on the Massy.

The neighbor always has his garage door open and the television on in the garage. I ran over there one day to ask if him a quick question. He wasn't in the garage, but the television was on, so I knew he was home. I was getting ready to knock on the door when I saw a little doorbell button on the side of the door. So, I rang the doorbell. Imagine my surprise when the big garage door started to lower! I quickly pressed the doorbell again to get the doors to go back up. By that time, I'd made enough noise for the owner to appear. I explained I wasn't playing with the doors...I thought it was a doorbell. He explained that he has security cameras, so he was watching the whole time. If you think really hard (or not so hard).......who would have a doorbell inside the garage?!? We still laugh about that one.......oopsy!

I have cold sensitive teeth and always use a straw with ice water, sodas or anything else with ice in it. My DH laughs when he sees me with my mouth slightly open going around and around the top of a glass of milk. Never fails he always asks "having trouble finding that straw?"
