The first garden salad of the year. Cukes, Tomato, Green Pepper and Onion - all from my garden. Nothing like REAL tomato!! Added black olives and Feta and topped with my own vinegar and oil dressing.

yumm!! I love love love fresh garden salad with REAL tomato. Those greenhouse grown tomato taste like garbage.

Hold on I'll be there in 5 minutes. How I envy you. I grew up with parents who always grew whatever they could, had fresh eggs from our own chickens and they loved to fish so only knew of fresh fish until I grew up. They only lived in suburbia not the country.

I love it when we get dinners like that, which we do just about all summer! You are right about the tomatoes. The ones from the store taste nothing like ones fresh from the garden!

lucky you..here in OK..the heat cooked our garden long before we got to enjoy any of it...it has been sad to watch it die..despite the mulching and watering...
