Did you ever put playing cards in the spokes to make that clicking noise when you rode? We did.

What a touching, loving gesture that was on DH's part. He seems like such a good man.

Yes you need a basket for sure you never know when you'll pass by a fabric store, and you can carrie a stash without trying to hang onto the bag and steer at the same time LOL.

She is beautiful Ninnie. I agree she needs a basket but how about quilting one (adoped from the walker bags or other tote pattern) and instead of cards in the spokes, weave some of your favorite fabric strips. The strips also work well for handle bar streamers - much better than plastic!

you're so lucky, ninnie. could have been a 2-seater, and then you'd have to share. make all the neighbors talk about you, you loose woman. wear lots of makeup, a tight tank top, glittery sneakers and a tattoo. don't forget to say 'vroom, vroom, vroom' every time you pass someone on the street. have loads of fun.

The number one accessory you need to get now? A HELMET! There are crazy people out there and I used to work with people with brain injuries. The last thing you want to to be riding along and whammo! Your life is changed forever because you didn't have one on. They are much more comfortable and stylish than they used to be and just make sure you learn how to put it on right and tighten it to where it should be. You would be amazed at the people who wear them practically on the back of their head and I alwasy want to look at them and ask them what good it will do when they fly off the front of their bike. Your forehead is where some of your most important functions are, like memory, impulse control, temper control.

    Enjoy your new bike!

You just have to get a basket and those plastic tassle things for the handlebars.
