I drank DIET soda up to about 3 months ago and quit, and lost 30 pounds as well. I will never drink another soda of any kind, but that video cinches it for me! I think they are addictive too.

I drink very little soda, but I am with Gale, try not to hold it in your mouth for a year and you should be okay. Everything in moderation is the answer.

Our dentist told my husband to use a straw when he drinks his Mt Dew. It helps lower the exposure of acid to your teeth apparently. But, you know what is most disturbing to me... why isn't that a moldy cruddy mess?

Whoopie. DD did a science fair project with eggs. coke isn't the only thing that does weird things to eggs over a long period of time.

Whatever it is, I'm not going to watch. BUT my DH recently had a kidney stone and his doctor told him to drinl lots of Coke - it would help dissolve the kind of stone he had. I'm thinking I'll stay with 7Up

Elementary science projects have dissolved teeth, eggs, metal spoons, etc. in soda pop and takes weeks, not year. will not grow mold. Also white bread will not mold (cheap kind with many preservatives) if left out for weeks. FDA stopped one bread company from putting embalming fluid in their loaves. They claimed it didn't decay. Duh! Check the food value of many processed food and you will find very little or none. Read labels.

Of course soda is not good for you, sugar being the number one reason, but that experiment only proofs that coke removes calcium from your body if you are an egg. Your teeth have a protective coat that separates them from the coke for the short period that they become in contact and your bones will never be in contact with it. As said before, moderation is the key for everything.

Ragu will do as much damage to meat and bones as soda if submerged in it for awhile. If anyone drinks soda everyday then it's their fault if their bones dissolve and they become a big bouncing ball.

I love my CocaCola, and it's nice to know it has other uses too. Like cleaning off my battery terminals if they get corroded, or tenderizing a ham for cooking. It's all good.

Yes, my DH has been really bothered (every 3 months) with those stones. Since he started drinking one coke daily ( 1 year)he has not had a stone.

First of all I don't believe everything that is on the internet. Who would be able to hold any soda in their mouth for a year? I'm betting not many, at sometime you would have to eat or swallow. Just me.

My son's chemistry class put an egg in something (I'm thinking vinegar) and the shell was gone overnight. I'll have to try to remember to ask.
