That looks like the one I paid $25 for at a yard sale last month it is a 1910 singer. works great, no attachments but they are not worth $974! LOL

I emailed the lady in OKCity and gently informed her that she would not be very likely to get her asking price as I had bought a similar one at an antique store for $100, marked down from $130 because it had not sold at the higher price.

Wow - "I have a singer sewing machine model 401a dated 1955/56. It is in very good condition, it does need to be refinished. I also have a box of attachments, with several feed feet, bobbins and a button holer, instruction book. Price is FIRM"

Should I tell them I just bought mine that didn't need refinishing for $25?

And that sewing table in the first ad is in really rough shape!

I seen one at a garage sale I think it was a FW because it had one of those wood case with it and they only wanted 25.00 but the hubby wouldnt let me buy it because I just purchased a brand new machine...

I know there would be no way I would pay that much for an old machine, that's just crazy...

I also think people don't realize that because they are such good machines they last forever, hence lots of them around after all these years.
