I took a break from quilting

A friends cousin passed away this past summer and she asked if I could make a couple of memory bears for his mom and girlfriend from some of his clothes. Of course I said yes. I was given 3 T-shirts, a long sleeve shirt, a pair of flannel lounge pants and a pair of white swim trucks. This is what they got in return. They were fun to make but a little challenging at the same time.

    Thanks for looking.

Excellent way to use your gifts to help those who are grieving. I keep choked up looking at stuff like this. I'm sure your labors of love will be appreciated far more than you'll ever know.

You got a lot of mileage out of the things they gave you to work with and they all look wonderful. Love the bears. They’re just too cute!

What a great job you did! Could you please pass along the pattern info on the bears. They look very huggable and comforting.

I, too, would like pattern info.
About 40 years ago, I made so many bears at my church for our sale in the summer that I was burned out on bears. We have our first ggd, born today, that I think will put me back in the bear-making mode.
We are expecting another round of really (for us) cold weather--down to 2 at night. Everyone stay warm and safe during this awful winter and happy quilting if you are able to stay indoors and sew!
