Slice of cheese (Velveeta or packaged slices) topped with applesauce and popped into the mouth. Similar to apple pie with a slice of cheese on top.

There are some kooky sounding combinations here...I say as I drink instant breakfast mixed with diet root beer.
*giggles*

I was with ya until you said what you put in your root beer.

Is that weird? I thought that is what everyone did with leftover rice.

It was called "Spaghetti Red" and we used to get it in a restaurant in Wichita, Kansas 40 years ago. I'm glad this came up because I had forgotten it. It's not only tasty, but if you use canned or leftover chili it's a very quick, simple lunch. I used to make a version of this with boxed macaroni and cheese, too, but lately I learned that the mac and cheese is murder for my glycemic index, and I can get low-carb pasta instead and throw in real cheese shreds.

BellaBoo, I think I'm going to try your exotic sandwich for lunch today! It seems like a cousin of my favorite BLT's, and probably a bit better for our health.

Don't forget the cinnamon and raisins! This was a real treat in our house growing up.

I was anemic as a child so Mom fried liver for me to eat often. Luckily I liked it and still do. Its best eaten with barbequed potato chips!
