Yeppers, could be VA, too, today and tomorrow. :(

I keep thinking I'm going to open the door and find the kitties melted on the front porch. Well, it IS in the shade all day and is concrete, so maybe not, but I can tell even they are just DONE with this unusual heat.

    I know how that is!!!

You know how they play music to announce their arrival in the neighborhood? When we lived in Rowlett, Texas about 15 years ago. I gave the ice cream man and his wife a recording of Van Halen's song " I am the Ice Cream man". They played it every time they came into our neighborhood.

Are you sure that the picture was not taken in Central Arkansas. I know I saw that poor truck on the side of the road yesterday when we were 103+.

    Yeesh!

It's 104 here in the Philadelphia area, with a heat index of 118 - wait, the temp didn't change, but the heat index went *down* to 112. Mercifully, humidity is low.

I remember years ago when we lived on the coast, one day the radio announcer said the humidity was 105%, which I couldn't figure out since it wasn't raining! I think the temperature that day was 'only' 98. I've wondered if it was the heat index instead of the humidity he was referring to.
