Well, I just sent all my temporary files to recycle. I hope it helps. My OLD laptop has been sooooo slow!!! Thanks for the tips!

What screen are you seeing "Settings"? I have a settings on my email page but there is not advanced settings under that.

If you use Chrome it is the three bars at the upper right that displays the settings.

Thank you, thank you...I just cleared all my temp files and installed adblockplus. No more ads - did not realize how much cleaner my screens look.

I will have to try these. I just switched to Dish from Charter & thought that was the reason downloading was soooo slow. Of course when I called Charter to cancel, he said that Dish wouldn't be as fast & a guy I know kind of shock his head when I mentioned I switched to Dish. Was a little cheaper.

Since you are all giving such great answers and advice I'd like to ask about experience with Windows 10 Or should I start another thread? I'm really worried about what it will do to my current files if I update. Lost in tech land, I am.

IF you are happy with Windows you have why update? Windows 10 will be around for a long time, wait until you need a new computer. Your files will be fine if you do update though. You can always upload your files to store in a cloud online and never have to worry about losing them.
