I am a morning person, usually up by around 5 AM. That is my quiet time, I design a new quilt during this time. Its rough sketch on a piece of scrap paper. In the evening when hubby wants to watch a movie or something and wants me to be there, I have a graph paper tablet and sketch the design to scale. Works for both of us, I am there, but still doing my own thing.

I am definitely a moring person! I just about die in the early to late afternoons and can hardly make it until bedtime at 10. I can't usually make it past that time and sometimes fight with myself to make til then. I get very aggravated with my self when I get home from work, I usally have so much I want to do and just don't have the energy to do it. Needless to say my house cleaning doesn't happen until the weekend which leaves me with not much time for quilting.

    Good Day Craftybear,

I read your posts every morning. Can't start my day until I read "THE BOARD". Thank you for all of your information. It is always good.

I can only lay down 2-3 hrs at a time so am up every morning around 2-2:30am. It's my quiet time for me. I sew or read or correspond.

In the summer I love getting up early in the morning, grabbing a cup of coffee, sitting on my deck, and hearing the world wake up. (birds and animals) I also love staying up late at night so usually have to take a nap. During the school year I go to bed at 11:00 because I have to be up at 5:30-6 for work. If I don't get my cleaning done in the morning it doesn't get done.

Love early mornings! If I don't have my stuff done by noon it won't get done. I'm in bed by 10 and up by 6 or 6:30.

Was always a "night" person - never took early am classes in college because I usually slept thru them (either in bed or in class). But I run a school bus company now and am usually at work at 5 am during the school year and 6 am in the summer. Took a long time to adjust, but I now find myself waking up early even when I don't have to. It's nice to hear the birds singing outside the sewing room window on the weekends.

I like getting up early. Living in such a noisy place as New York, it's nice to listen to a little quiet now and then.

When I do discipline myself to go to sleep and rise early, my energy levels are definitely better, and I'm more productive. As an 8-hour sleep person, I have to say how envious I am of all you 4-6 hours sleep people!
