Immediate Greyhound Dog Adoption Needed

I'm posting this for a friend...hope it's ok to post it here:
Dairyland Greyhound Racetrack in Kenosha, WI will be closing on 12/31/09. 900 Greyhounds need to be adopted or they will be euthanized. Please help them get the word out; there are only 6 weeks to get this done. Contact Joanne Kehoe, Operations Director, at (312) 559-0887, or contact the Dairyland Race Track Adoption Center directly at (262) 612-8256
As a fellow dog lover, I'm just trying to help spread the word. Thanks for looking.

That is so sad. We have racing here and they can be adopted when they retire. I hear they make wonderful pets.

It is sad. I've heard the same thing and I've heard they are very smart too. I'm hoping someone will see it that needs a good dog. It doesn't cost that much to have one flown to where you are...I purchased mine from a good breeder and had them flown to me.
