It looks like this site has some good information. My first thought, also, was replacing the heating element but this site gives some good information.

If you can't get to this just send me a pm.
Be sure to unplug the dryer. Someone I know didn't and it was scary. He was okay but did suffer the voltage from the dryer.

No heat, heating element is broken. Using top of the dryer for storage caused the heating element to over heat and burn out quicker than normal. I learned the hard way, now no more stacking clothes on top the dryer. Only have box of dryer sheets on the dryer. PS. I cut dryer sheets in half or thirds rather than using a whole sheet. Does the same job. I don't use dryers sheet in every load. Towels with to much fabric softner will not absorb.

lol I use to stack stuff on top of the dryer once upon a time. lost couple of dryers that way. these days the only thing i use it for is my dehydrator when drying herbs as it gets hot. then when it is cool it is put away. so nothing is on it. had hard time teaching hubby that also.

Here's another little tip I found out about.
Take your lint trap out and wash it. You would be surprised how it can get gunk built up on it.
If water can't get through the mesh, then the heat can't get through it, either.
