INTRODUCING (drum roll please)....
#24
Little Audrey is very special. She was born missing the lower half of her right arm. (Strange the things that one thinks of--the first thing I thought of, was that she would never be able to drive a manual car--dumb!!)
In every other way, she is perfect and absolutely priceless. I watched her flex her 'little arm' as she tried to grasp her mamma's booby. The two arms worked in unison and it seemed like the part of her arm that was missing, was just invisible.
My DD (Audrey's Mamma) is a NICU nurse and the Nurse Educator at the local hospital. Thankfully they have access to many services, including War-Amps. Audrey will have her first prosthesis in less than three months. From a financial standpoint, whatever is not covered by personal insurance and government grants, will be paid for, by the War Amps organization.
THis has been a very dificult pregnancy--for Mamma, Daddy and the immediate family. But seeing and holding my LittleBit has been worth all the worry.
AUDREY ELIZABETH IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
