Take tide detergent mix some in waater . Enough to make the water feel slick. Then soak that burn in it and will take the pain right out of it and dry out the blister. This really works. I was putting out a fire and scooped up sand and it was red hot and burned the palms of my hands just like your arm. They didn't even scar. A 96 year old woman told me to do this. It works.

I've gotten several burns lately from where I have dropped cookie sheets, etc so I can feel for you.

Do keep it clean and given the size of it, you might wish to call your doctor tomorrow as a precaution.

Kisses to the boo boo

That isn't good. :( It really doesn't hurt at all. It did for a couple minutes after it happened and then it stopped. And it happened so quick, guess that iron was REALLY hot.
Hperttula123 makes a very good point. Burns should hurt. If they don't, you should have it looked at by a doctor. Since you did it at work, the visit should be covered under your employers workers compensation insurance, so you don't have to worry about paying for the visit or a copay. Did you file a report at work?

Hope this heals quickly for you.

I burned my hand above my thumb, the iron fell over on me . It did'nt look to bad at first, but in a few days it got nasty. I used honey also and let the air hit it. Now it looks normal again, it took about a month. Honey is a natural healing agent, you can buy Medi- honey at a medical suppy, it is an ointment ,but very expensive. My doc said just use the natural one!!! It works!

Mommomjoann is right. If there is no pain, then the burn may have been deeper than you think and should definitely have medical attention. If it is work related, you only have about 24 hours to turn in the report to be eligible for workmens comp. I do believe there are some exceptions to that though.
