I would never ask anyone to put their lives in danger to save anything in my house. All those things can be replaced, a person's life cannot!

OK, no one is going to get hurt. If I could have one machine and one quilt magically appear at my side (see no one is in danger) it would be my Pfaff and my bargello that I sleep with every night.

Well I only have one machine, so I guess it'd be my singer. Although I don't think he could get it out easily since it's attached the cabinet (one of those folds down inside thingies) and I haven't the slightest clue how to get it off!

Quilt wise, I think I would save the Mario wall hanging I made for DH for Christmas this year. It took quite a bit, he loves it and everything else I have that is quilted is a few WIPs and such.

I would have to tell him to forget the sewing machines grab my laptop and the usb sticks... All my quilts are on those usb sticks. and my pictures are too. the sewing machine would have to be replaced.

If my house caught on fire and the fireman said he can save two things for me I would have him FIRST save the picture of my late sister and her family its the only one I have. And I would have him save my laptop that way I could keep in contact with everyone on this board. I also have insurance so I could get a new machine and new fabric. :)

Nope! You can only save a sewing machine and a quilt. Those are the rules of the game! :> You must choose or you save nothing!

I wouldn't worry about the machine, but the full-size scrap quilt with 9 Y-seams per block - yeah, please save that. Because I'd never attempt it again.
