I've been working on this off and on (mostly off) for a couple of weeks. DS only had one little button-down shirt, so I cut this one and another one out. Too late I realize that it won't be very long before he outgrows them, and I should have made it the next size up. Oh well.

So cute. The shirt and DS. I made all my sons clothes when he was small. So long ago. He's 38 now.

nice looking shirt and, son, You matched the stripes very well. I'm impressed with your skills. I haven't made clothes for may years so this brought back fond memories.

The plaids look better matched in the photo than they are in real life. But I looked at some of his too-small shirts, storebought plaids, and they weren't matched at all! So at least I tried. :)

I don't sew ALL my kids' clothes, but I like to sew some of them, when I can fit it in.

It's simply precious!! Be sure you save all his cotton shirts when he outgrows them. I have 2 sons, and when they were teeny, I saved their shirts and pants as they outgrew them, cut them up and made a quilt for my husband. It was then and still is (25 yrs later) his favorite quilt. I love it..... when I look at it I can still see those sweet outfits on my little boys :D
