This Week with George Stephanapolous on ABC has been having "In Memoriam" for years. I do think this is important. Seems like with the 24/7 news cycle they have to fill the time with something even if it is worthless info.

This is so true, and sad. I don't care about Charlie Sheen, Lindsey Lohan, or any of the Kardashians. T nauseated me how the media gives them so much attention. My daughter was in the Army from 2005-2011 and got out in August. She's a critical care nurse and worked at the old Walter Reed. She's now a civilian doing the same thing at the new Walter Reed. The stories she's told me are heartbreaking. A little attention is given to the soldiers killed. None is given to the soldiers who are injured. Many of these soldiers, young men 19-25 years of age, are coming back with not just amputations, but loss of testicles from hidden IEDs in the ground. Some have leg amputations to the pelvis, and can never have a prosthetic.

These are the people who should be getting the attention.

I agree. Our servicemen and women are more important. My son is in the service.

This is oh so true about the attention these "stars" get when others lead a wonderful life and nothing is mentioned about their passing. I'm so tired hearing about the Kardashians! I don't watch their show-EVER- but there isn't a show that seems to not mention their rediculous lifestyle. The only thing I have to say about Whitney is that she was given such a God-given beautiful voice and then ruined it with her drug activities. What a waste.

I could easily jump on my soapbox over this. I'm sick to death hearing about the poor celebs.

Oh, and just wait till we get closer to election time. We will all hear about which candidate some celeb is endorsing.... like that would ever influence my vote. Unfortunately it will influence the dopes who pay attention to this you-know-what.

Oh, jeeze........... here I go again....................

I'm going to do this too. It's crazy really, just pains me at times to know how they are treated.
