I had lasix!!! It's a kick! So easy, it's unbelievable! I think cataract surgery is a little tougher. Mine was so I didn't have to wear glasses. The nerves ahead of time are the worst. I was driving the next morning. and on a motorcycle 2 days later!!

I used to be a programmer and we had to do a lot of reading of small details. A dot in the wrong place could make a big difference in the outcome of a program.

Many of the people I worked with had Lasix done on the eyes with great success. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with it.

Good luck with your surgery. Your beagle is so cute!! Love the sunglasses!

Hope it goes well.
I should have had this done years ago too.
At this point my eyes are just starting to turn as far as the reading goes, You know, I have been wearing contact lenses for 36 years and can get bifocal ones when I need them. I don't want to "do" my eyes and then have to wear reading glasses!! My eyes are really bad and I don't mind wearing contacts. though it would be nice to be able to see when I have to get up in the middle of the night or when I go swimming.

I COULD CHOOSE TO WEAR CONTACTS.. BUT TO ME THAT IS THE SAME AS GLASSES.. THIS WAY I WILL BE ABLE TO GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF NIGHT AND SEE !! I WILL NOT BE WEARING GLASSES !! YIPPE CYOTEE!!!

lasik is awesome.

and whoever said the nerves were the worst part is right! I had worked myself up over a total of 10 minutes of 'red light'

Enjoy!

I forgot to mention that I had one eye done for reading and the other for long distance. I still wear $1.00 glasses for REALLY close up work. When I got on the motorcycle behind DH, it was weird, because they hadn't focused together. I could see out one side around him but I couldn't the other. LOL

Hang in there....nervewracking, but you'll never be sorry!
To be able to walk in the rain without losing your vision, to be able to get food out of the oven without glasses steaming up...and yes, seeing at night without fumbling for the glasses. ALL worth it!

Oh lucky you! I so wish I could have it done! I wear contacts, and if I could afford it....I would jump at the idea! Good luck!
