It sounds like you want a regular camera, rather than a trail camera. This type is typically set up and left. It's water-tight, in case of rain. If something triggers the motion-sensor, the camera starts taking photos or a short movie.

It's always fun to check in the morning, to see if any critters have visited.

I'm not sure what kind I really want. A friend sent me a link a couple of years ago that you can watch, eagles, falcons, owls, etc. from the time they start there family to the time they leave the nest. They can pan in so close that you can count the lines in the eagles feathers. I know that is way out of my price range but I do love watching these cams. If you would like to check them out you can go to this link & choose from the left side bar. Of course this time of year they have all left the nest. http://www.farmyou.com/falcon_cams/index.html or you can go to youtube & type in Decorah Eagles, they are my favorite to watch. This is addictive a quilting. LOL. Have a nice week & I have enjoyed the chatting.

Oh, I love those cam links! So cool! Yeah, I imagine those would be way more than I'd want to pay, too!

I bet once he saw some critters in action, he'd change his mind!

They had been feeding squirrels for years until they started digging up the garden & getting on the roof of the house. They were worried that they would start to chew into the house. Still they never learn.
