Australian money is made of plastic, so it goes through the wash really well but once it is wrinkled you wouldn't want to iron it, you migh end up with a shrinky lol

I keep denominations together but heads every-which-a-way BUT wet bills coming out of the washer get ironed. Friends think I'm weird but not only do they look nice, I can spend them immediately if I need to since they're dry!

The only money thats left in pockets around here is my own. DH keeps track of every penny. Now if he finds money in the washer I get a lecture.

I am similar to you. I have to have my paper money all going the same way. One year, while working a church picnic, it rained like crazy. I was working in the money room in the parich rectory. Money came in dripping wet. I immediately turned the iron on in a back room. The priest came in and said, "What are you doing?" I laughed and told him, "I am laundrying money". He thought that was funny.

If I do find money in the laundry, it usually belongs to DD and I just put it in her room. I never seem to have cash on me since I started using a debit card years ago. If I do happen to have some cash, DH always needs what I have. He hates to use a card.

I do! They lay flat in the wallet, great for gift giving - I even spray starch them. Then they look like I just made them! Oh, would that I could!!!!! I'd have the best sewing room in the world!!!!!!

We all do have idiocyncrasies don't we? That is one of mine - the other is taking the label off of cans before I put them in recycle.

I've never ironed bills, if I get new ones I crinkle them up on purpose so they don't stick together.

I do organize them, tho, so that the denominations are together....and reversed, like all the ones are green side up, the next largest denomination I have would be black side up, the next largest green again, etc
