    Thanks for the tips. I had dyed some cotton clothesline and yesterday I made four coasters and one larger one. I was amazed about hoe much thread it took. The color was purple and I used a varigated purple thread. I hope to sell them at our annual clothesline wuilt show in Oct.

    Thanks for the great tips! I've thought about doing one of these, but haven't done more than think about it. I appreciate all the info, so when I DO start it, I'll have a better shot at getting it right the first time!!!
