What a wonderful story. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a teacher like this. Mine was senior year English. Mrs M is still bright in my memory - an influence forever. I remember every poem and passage from Shakespeare, Chaucer and Rostand that she required us to memorize. I was able to hold her hand shortly before she passed several years after I graduated from college. She was nearly totally incapacitated from a stroke, but she firmly grasped my hand and smiled.

Thank You. I had such a teacher in 7th grade. The story hits home. I had a special needs child. He just returned fro being a dr in a field hospital in Afghanistan. He speaks 7 languages, because a teacher card. They are very special people. You are among the gifts with the lives you have touched.
