The sound of crickets, or spring peepers...

...misty nights...

... walking barefoot in sand.

Smiles on my grandchildren's faces and their laughter
Watching a grandchild do something nice for his/her sibling or cousin
Phonecalls from my kids
Finding a favorite fabric in a shop when I thought it was unattainable.
Colors and patterns of fabric
Quilt projects when they are done

Love the sound of the frogs croaking
Love the calls and songs of the birds
Walking in the timber all by myself - praying and enjoying God's creations.

Here are some of mine;

The smell of rain and fresh baked bread
Spending time with my hubby
Riding my horse
A good book I can get lost in
Listening to music-whatever kind suits my mood
Holding a sleeping baby
Biting into a really good steak that is so tender it melts in your mouth
Going to church on Sunday morning
A finished quilt!

A summer thunderstorm early in the morning. I love to just lay in bed listening with the windows open.
Sitting on the beach watching and listening to the ocean.
Relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book.
Laughing with friends and family.
The sight of my son covered head to toe in grease because he spent the day under his car repairing it.
My other son displaying his wacky sense of humor!
My daughters and their smiles.

How about the fresh, sweet smell of laundry that has dried in the sun?

My three grandsons give me so much joy and happiness - Elliot 2, and identical twins Rory and Clayton who will be one month old on Sunday. I am so blessed with two wonderful children and a wonderful son in law - I am happy to be able to get up evey morning and go to work. My partner makes me very happy ( lets me buy lots of fabric) and thankful to have good health and good friends.

An automatic washing machine (used to have a wringer type)
A water heater (used to have to heat water and carry it to the machine)
A drain for wash water (used to have to carry it out)
A clothes dryer (for those rainy days)

Did have running water in the house, though!

Reading all your posts and renewing my appreciation for those things...
waking up to my hubby each morning
the feeling when he reaches to take my hand
his smile and/or laughter
my kids calling me or just an unsolicited hug
my kids... my hubby... my kids... my hubby...
my new sewing room
ALL my fabric (even if hubby thinks it's a bit much)
my kids... my hubby... my kids... my hubby...
Being here and alive to watch my family grow and blossom :)

Thanks for starting this post!
