Another quilter I know says she does her best work at 2:00 AM her time in the morning. No noise, no tv, no phone calls. I'd probably sew everything to my gown at that time of the AM, altho' many times I am awake then.

As far as I know, it's "open" - but there are "regulars" on/in chat - so one can feel like an outsider/intruder when one drops in - sort of like tuning in to a soap opera for the first time - takes a while to figure out who - what - why. And sometimes there are three or four "conversations" going on at once - took me a while to figure out how to follow that.
I never did figure that one out. And I did feel like an outsider when I tried to chime in. Now I chat with one of our board members through our regular emails. When I hear that bubble pop and I know she's on, I celebrate. We have built a strong friendship.
