I'm driving down tomorrow to see (and bringing home) a Singer treadle machine. It's got a fiddle base, coffin top, flower decals
and she's beautiful!! She comes with 2 long bullet type bobbins and I don't have the faintest idea as to how to thread them. I tried to post this message on the vintage machine section, but when you create a new topic that's not an option. I'm fairly new to the board and need a little navigation help as well LOL. I've learn so much already and I'm excited about sewing on a treadle. Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't need to start a new topic, just post to the Vintage list. We'll pick it up. So you have 2 shuttles and no bobbins? You can probably download manuals from the Singer co. site. Or the yahoo Vintage Singers or Singers site. Or you can join treadleon.net.

Thank you for the tip. I just reposted an edited version on the vintage section. I'm looking forward to info.

Shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] and I can send you a copy of a downloaded manual. I have a 1891 Model 27 that I am trying to fix up. I need a few cosmetic pieces and a little wood repair.
