1925 Singer Treadle w/Sphinx Decals & Shuttle Bobbin
#3

Looks like you have a Singer 127, with 25,000 allotted on December 8, 1925 (going by the serial number). The decals are in very nice shape. I believe they are commonly known as the "sphinx" decals. (Egyptian revival stuff was popular in the 1920s). I bet the metal parts will shine up nicely--looks like grime rather than rust on those.

I think it's a pretty machine!
The quest for either Redeye or Sphinx is, I think, a wash. They're both popular designs. The Redeye is exclusive to the model 66, while the Sphinx was applied to a few different models.

I have sold a lot of both, I know that I have sold more red eyes than the spynx or memphis decals but when they are pretty like yours they may have a better chance. I always thought the red eye sold better because it has a drop in bobbin where yours has a shuttle and long bobbin, harder to thread... Great looking machine though!
