Default Long Cruise

We just returned from a 28 day cruise from LA to the South Pacific and back to LA.

There were two ladies aboard who were hand piecing and quilting. I am in awesome of their abilities.

The lady hand piecing had never heard of the Quilting Board!

Next long cruise I'm taking a sewing machine!

I did purchase 40 yards of fabric in Hilo, Hawaii. Twenty yards of Hawaiian motif fabric and 20 yards of batik.

Now I just need the right pattern to use all that fabric!

And yes, it was a great cruise!

I would go nuts, being anywhere but at home for that long. I like having my truck where ever I am, just jump in a go whenever I want to.
Sounds like you had a good time.

What a wonderful opportunity! I can't even imagine it! You'll have to share pictures of what you make with that fabric.

I will - assuming I have the heart to cut some of them!

I have been trying to get my DH on a cruise for years. I may end up going by myself. I want to go to Alaska this summer but my fantasy cruise would be the south pacific. He would not even need to go with me there.

Glad you had a good time! I like my feet touching "the ground" though!

Yellow Bird I understand. I purchased fabric in Hawaii about 10 years ago and continue to enjoy just looking at it.

wow, sounds like a great trip and great fabric. I love cruises. you really get a lot of bang for your buck, and there's always something to do.
those of you who haven't gone, try to do it. we cancelled our newspaper and tv guide and that paid for our trip after 18 months.
