My Callie pulled a bow off a package the other day. Hubby saw it and put it back before I got home from church.

Please be very careful and watch her closely. My daughters cat got under the tree on a day when she was gone, and the huge bow untied and she ate it....all 8 ft of it. When my daughter go home, some hung from her mouth, some from her butt---(thank goodness she had the sense not to pull on it)......it took surgery to remove it---total impaction...and $800.00.

We have a cat that does that too. I can see his eyes light up when I put up the tree. Your kitty is so pretty.

Aren't cats great? They love to help us make sure each gift looks just right!
I have a little girl cat who has been introduced to her first Christmas Tree this year. Not sure how that's going to be once all the ornaments are on it. Bought some bags of cat litter to weigh the tree down, so we shall see how that goes.

And yes....PLEASE be cautious of all ribbons...been there, done that...Big Boy doesn't play with ribbons anymore. lol

Kitties make Christmas so much more fun! Almost every Christmas photo we have of the kids opening presents includes a cat or two "helping".

Did anyone ever put silvery icicles on their tree and have them end up in the kitty poo?

Oh Dawn,
What an adorable picture of your little one, chewing on the ribbon's!! :D Our cat will do the same thing, when I get the gifts wrapped & under the tree. She will also lay under the tree, the whole time it is up!! I guess she is guarding it her way!!
:D :D :D :D

I don't think I'm even going to try to put up a tree this year, last year my cat was only 5 mos. old and it was just more trouble than it was worth to keep re-decorating it.And I don't see how you girls can sew with one around, mine wants to be right where my hands are, he's scorched his nose twice and the other day I had to stop because he was trying to catch the needle, I give him spools and scraps of his own but it just won't do, he's got to play with what I'm playing with!

I have one that does that too. Even worse, the two cats destroy the tree if there are any ornaments on it so we just use ribbon and silk poinsettias.
