We just use the mugs that came with the set of dishes. As long as I get my daily two cups and caffeine. I'm good.

I just broke my favorite coffee mug! My sweet neighbor bought it for me for my birthday awhile ago and I just loved it. Looked all over the internet and can't find another one

Is your Dunoon mug the bone china one? I lived outside of Dunoon Scotland and visited the factory seconds area and grabbed a few boxes of them. Love the cups.

I really like the Connecting Threads mugs. They are just right for me. Not to thick a rim, large rounded, and a handle my hand can go in and wrap around the cup. When I need a little more to add for free shipping I add a mug to my order. https://www.connectingthreads.com/qu...ug-red/p/71468

I feel your pain. Some people just don't get it. They call themselves coffee drinkers but they're happy with a 6 oz cup.......one. Though as I age my favourite cup is starting to feel...well....heavy in my arthritic hands. Keep looking.

Me, too. Had been looking for years for the perfect cup. Finally found it in Walmart for 88 cents. Just bought one - found it to be perfect and went back and bought a few more.... and then a couple more, etc. I'm set for life!

I have a set of four mugs that come from Dollar General maybe 5 years ago. Blue, red, green and yellow with roosters on them....the insides are matching colors. Even though they are made the same, there is something about the yellow one that I will 98% of the time grab. My husband uses tiny mugs that he has had so long they are stained and chipped, but he won't drink coffee from any other mug. To each our own I guess!

So funny how quirky we get about our “perfect mugs” . I recently purged all the mugs I had no sentimental attachment to. Kept the 8 or so I am attached to because of the person who gave them. Five are smaller than I like for coffee so I use them for tea or ice cream. My two favorites are a Polish pottery “belly mug” (pot belly shaped) from my DD, and a large ceramic Chincoteague Island mug from my bestie since 1973 who came from KS to be with me last August for my hardest-ever birthday (first bday after Mama died).

The look, the feel, the shape , the comforting memories—perfect. A bestie who listens to all the quirky details about how you like a mug to feel, and cries with you knowing the loss of a mom, and makes you laugh so hard you snort and wheeze.
