my BIL had the same thing happen to him...23 yrs after he lost it at a carnival..he had only had his ring 2 days...put it in his pocket to keep it safe at the carnival and then lost it after all....years later somebody found it while using a metal detector out in that open field...

I wish somebody would send me mine...I lost it on Adak, Alaska in 1980! I had only had mine a year and rarely wore it out...went to a school play on the island, and it must have come off when I removed my gloves..and fell into the snow...I did not notice missing until later during the play..and of course we never did find it in the snow outside...
