Aww, what a beautiful moment you shared.
I love how others chimed in too.
You definitely made her day
What a wonderful point of connection that transcends nationality & language.

I was recently at an antique store and I said something about a quilt top that was for sale. Both the clerk and a shopper started talking about their grandmothers and mothers quilts. I ended up getting the sampler quilt and naming blocks and talking about points, showing them what sashing and prairie points were. They loved the little quilt class and both told me I was a great teacher. Quilts bring us together. I loved your story and hope you can help the dry cleaning clerk.

Wonderful! It’s always a special moment when we take time from our busy lives to just have conversation. You made her day!

What a nice story. Sometimes we find common ground where we least expect it.
