I bought my first Magic Erasers yesterday because I saw a woman on the internet clean an iron with one. I broke off a tiny piece and it worked better than anything I have ever tried.

I use Barkeeper's Friend to make a paste on a damp sponge anytime I want to clean a surface as it does not leave marks. It is not as abrasive as Comet or one of the other cleansers.

Wow, read all the reviews about BKF! Living with a well in an older manufactured home, this sounds like a product I will find very handy! Thanks for suggestions!!

Yep, I have been using the Magic Eraser for several years now to clean my iron. It's great for taking fusible off the sole when I have stupidly left a piece with the sticky side up on my ironing board. And I have done this more than once, I am sorry to admit!
