I tried the 3D pattern (around here it is called the teddy bear pattern since Vermont Teddy Bear Company is supplying precut kits). I could not topstitch the center seam flat. I went back to the pleated kind, up to 600. All donated.

I've noticed this style on TV and thought it would work well. I've googled them just now and they all start with a YouTube video. Does anyone have a link to a pdf pattern for these?

Interestingly enough I did not take pictures of the over 350 mask that I have made so far. My mask are nothing fancy and are made to do the job. I design them like surgical mask with 3 pleats and are double sided. I recently began making them with an interfacing to provide a bit of a filter to them.
I have not been making many the last couple weeks but I am sure to be making many more.

My family and friends are asking for thin one layer pleated fabric masks. I noticed WalMart here has a shelf full of masks now. 20 for $18. They are lightweight and very thin, easy to wear. I washed one and it held up fine. I am making the grands plenty of one layer masks with thin nylon loops and neck hanging ties for school.

I have been making masks for my husband and myself and husband's employees. But I don't come near to your 500 masks. Good job and thank you for all of your efforts. I also have been making some scrub hats for the hospital. I makes me feel good that I can help out.

I have made two different style of masks. I wanted one with both the side pleats and darts for the nose and chin. The first one was here. https://www.instructables.com/id/AB-...se-by-a-Nurse/
It made a large mask. My husband said it was comfortable but I thought it was too big. It wanted to ride up into my eyes. I also thought the binding was too much work if I was going to make a lot of them.
The other pattern I used is from wesewgotthis.com I like this pattern, but I modified it a few ways. I use a piece of paracord for the tie. It goes down one side of the mask, around the neck and up the other side. I use a plastic cord lock so it adjusts quickly and I don't have to tie a knot behind my head.
I also join the two layers by the top and sides but hem the bottom of each layer separately. That way I can slide a filter in between if I choose. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will put some up.

Do you put the 3rd piece in for a pocket? I'm going to try the pattern with just the front and lining piece.I like the "W" shape at the top.

I made twenty a couple months ago for hubby and his workers. They started out as the pleated ones with the 1/4" elastic around the ears. I found a better one on line that conforms to the face with ear elastic and a wire to tighten at the nose that is more efficient and comfortable. The only draw back was the download had twenty five pages! Yikes! It has men's , women's and children sized templets and a variety of changes that you could include or not to your liking.
I quickly made 10 up and that is as far as I got because of the elastic shortage. Now, I got more and yesterday made ten more for hubby and my cousin's family I am mailing today to south carolina. I have become better at using the print in the fabric to showcase images into the correct areas. I made hubby a mask yesterday with the wolfpack on it. It was a big hit when he went out today.

I will try and post a pic later. Keep up the fight ladies. Sewing is a wonderful skill to be able to fight with.

Thanks for creating the maks posts. I've made several with pleats, a few with ties after running out of elastic. I made them initially for my family elders. I like trying out different patterns to see which one I like best. The pleated masks go by quickly but sometimes the elastic is lopsided. It surely has been a good way to use up scraps. I made some child size masks for my son's girlfriend's little boy. They currently reside in England so Atticus was happy to get some fun fabric masks. I'm told he now enjoys having masks from Texas!
