One doll done and decorated, except for the hair. The other doll is made, it just needs to be decorated. I spent a few hours at Joanns on Saturday wandering around, making decisions about how I wanted to decorate them....any trip to Joanns takes me hours!! To my horror Joann's (at least the one next to my house) does not carry doll hair. WHAT!!!!????? So what do I do?? Make it out of yarn? Sure, I've seen people do that, but I just know my yarn hair would turn out dreadful! So I have an idea!! I am going to go to the dollar store, buy some dolls and....yup, steal their hair!!!! We'll see how that works

I still can't believe that Joanns doesn't have doll hair!!!

I make my hair from frayed trim, felt, etc. They don't even have to have hair. I'm really glad that you are putting a lot of effort into your dolls. I may have another pack of doll hair. If so, it's either brown or white and curly. If you are interested, send me a PM. I may be able to find it before Christmas. lol.

My pattern looks funny too, but the dolls turned out good! I followed the pattern that is posted in this thread. Around 6 inch by 4inch. My doll is about 6 inches long without tail or hanger

oh wow, I finished one and almost finished the other. Then I got upset because they are larger than 5 inches and I thought that was the size? So I came here and checked and was so happy.

At first I couldn't figure out what to do and Friday night I woke up and had a great idea for one and finished her on Sunday. The other one I couldn't think of anything but I finally got it together and she is almost done, just needs to be sewn together and stuffed. One is Lady and the other is Letty Blue, I may send one out tomorrow and the other Wed or both on Wed. But they should both be on their way soon!

I forgot to add, I made both patterns myself, they are each different.
