My husband died at age 35 of a heart defect. Our son was 2 yrs., 5 months old. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember his dad, and I don't have very many pictures, because he was the one who took the pictures. I'm glad you had some time with your dad that you are able to remember. I'm sorry it wasn't more. Great picture!

Thank you for sharing such a precious memory. And yes, you look like you had the same Toni home perm I did back in the day! I lost my loving Dad Sept 19 after a 5 year struggle with a rare form of leukemia. Father's Day was very difficult and with their anniversary coming up July 20 (54 years), it is really. All I can say is "thanks for the memories".
God Bless you and your family, Cherie

My parents died 11 months apart. At the time I was 60 and felt like an orphan. This was 15 years ago and I still miss them both. However, I have good memories and often talk to them when alone in my quilting room. Dad's mother was a quilter and piqued my interest in quilting when I was about 8. I have said to my mother's sister (92), I wish Mom could see my quilts. She would be proud, I think.
