Bottled Water - Do you drink it?
#1
I know there have been threads on water before, but I got to wondering... so I created a little survey.
1. Do you buy bottled water? If yes, why?
a. our tap water is decent, but bottled tastes even better
b. our tap water is safe to drink, but it tastes terrible
c. our tap water isn't safe to drink
d. convenient to have water bottles when on the go
e. alternative to other bottled beverages (sodapop, juice, etc.)
f. to look stylish, cool, trendy
g. love the idea of water that comes from a mountain spring, glacier, Fiji, etc.
h. other (please explain)
If you usually drink tap water, why?
a. tastes perfectly fine
b. costs less
c. don't want to harm the environment with all those plastic bottles
d. don't want health problems from all those plastic bottles
e. other (please explain)
2.Do you buy the size you can carry with you, the gallon jugs, the big tanks that go on a dispenser, or some combination?
3. If your tap water tastes bad, what does it taste like?
a. chlorine
b. fish
c. algae
d. cement
e. metallic
f. chemical
g. dirty
h. other (please explain)
4. Does your tap water have a texture, like oily, slimy?
5. If you drink bottled, would you switch back to tap if it tasted good? Why or why not?
Thanks. This survey isn't for any purpose other than my own curiosity. And by the way, I drink bottled water, but I'll drink decent tap or filtered water when it's available.

I occasionally buy bottled water. Not to drink here in the house. I buy it to take places. I do not drink soft drinks, only water so when out will buy it more often. I do get the tap water with ice at restaurants most of the time.
Our tap water is fine for drinking, though we have very hard water. It tastes fine, I'm used to it.
Tap water is much much cheaper and most bottled waters do not have the added fluoride which children who only drink the bottled water have been having teeth issues.
I don't like using all that plastic and all the garbage it creates.
I prefer to drink the water that has gone through the filter of my refrigerator however that is only a fraction of what I drink.

I drink bottled water too, but if I have to have tap water, I need a slice of lemon or lime, or a squeeze of lemon juice in it. I just don't like the taste of plain old tap water. I'm not a *soda* drinker either. Maybe have a couple cokes a year, and then they have to be fountain drinks, not bottled. DH thinks I'm a nut!

Buy bottled water sometimes. I usually drink the reverse osmosis water. Bottled water is just as hard as tap water, so I stopped buying water for the CPAP. My tap water does smell like bleach and I won't drink it.

Sadiemae, is reverse osmosis water the same as distilled? That's what I buy (in gallon jugs). Distilled is pretty much pure h2o. Should be fine for a CPAP.
Thanks for the responses so far!

I think bottled water is too expensive unless you have bad undrinkable water.
I like my nice cold water from our well. It is so good.
A guy in town gets huge jugs of it from us for making wine. Something about the PH being perfect. He also flies all over the country for just the right grapes.
All of my kids will buy bottled water for the convenience.
