Default Military intervention w/package

Ordered from Quilt in a Day on Sunday 2/14 and I've been tracking where it is. Sent, at Post office the usual notes. EXCEPT yesterday note says: TENDERED TO MILITARY AGENT! Now this package is coming from CA so not affected by winter conditions many of the states are dealing with. Have any of you EVER had a note like this?

DH is having a blast with this. Julie, it's on the way to Guam. Julie, it's being shipped with vaccines and when the package arrives in NM it will be in quarantined for 10 days. Julie, FBI is tracking it. Julie, ever hear of Area 51?

Oh, and no pending date for delivery! (Ever see the movie Men in Black?) lol

I love the way your husband thinks! I wonder what's going on with the post office that they are now getting the military involved in delivering the mail? I hope you get your package soon. At least it doesn't have to go through Texas.

So, what have you been posting in Face Book to get the military interested? Hmm?

Back in 1972 my dad worked for Boeing and somehow they lost is security clearance information so the FBI was coming out and checking with the neighbors and friends - we don't know what all they did but we were the talk of the neighborhood. And when my husband asked the Navy if we could get married, my information came back so fast his commanding officer asked why the Government already had a file on me. He said he thought it was because I wrote controversial editorials in my school newspaper. :-)

Let us know who finally delivers it. :-]

Candy...lol! We don't do Facebook.

Just checked on my 3 packages. One...no idea. Second one w/military? Third with Fed-ex in CO which may be delivered today.

I just ache for all the people suffering from this severe weather. Grew up in WI and had bad winters but we were prepared for it. Not TX. ;{

Julie, if it doesn't show up in a few days, report it to the post office. My husband ships a lot of stuff and he has had some weird things happen lately. He's found that if a package is stuck or showing weird locations, if he reports it to the post office someone has to investigate and they often get delivered in a day or two. I have no idea what that is about, but it seems to work for him.

A lot of people here werent' at all prepared which I don't really understand because it's mostly the same prep as for a hurricane. We weren't as well prepared as we should have been. With the sensationalist news, I thought they were doing they usual gross exaggeration and it wouldn't get that cold. But even with not the best prep, we did fine. No broken pipes (at least that we've found) and while it was cold, it wasn't dangerously cold. We were able to keep the house about 45 in most rooms. We ran the generator and space heaters and kept the bedroom warm and used the fireplace during the day so the living room was not too bad. My husband complained a lot about the cold, but then he could have put on big boy pants and not been as cold.

Patrice, great advice. I'll give it until Wednesday and then contact USPS. I had to do that once before and package was found.

My husband has had good luck with the package being found once he reported it. Good luck to you. Let us know how you come out on it.

QIAD is really good about their shipping details. Glad you contacted them. They should get back to you soon too to let you know what they discovered.

This past December,I had a package that spent over 2 weeks being sent back and forth between the Memphis, Tn postal distribution center and the Memphis distribution enter annex. Finally it got off that merry-go-round and was delivered to MN in 2 days. It must have something to do with the way that the scanners read the address info.
