When I was in the Fifth grade we had hermit crab pets in our classroom for a section of science we were studying. At the end we got to take our hermit crab home. Mine managed to disappear. We searched and searched and searched the house and could not find it!!!! We lived with my Great-Grandmother at the time to help take care of her. And one night about two months after the crab disappearance I was in the kitchen and here comes the hermit crab walking its way across the floor from the pantry!!!! My Great-Grandma was big on gardening and canning the food so she had a HUGE walk in pantry. Somehow it had survived two months without us feeding it or giving it water.

My son's frog escaped one night. Three months later we found him under the fridge. He was living in the pan of water that the frost free fridge was defrosting into. DO frost free fridges still work that way?
Want me to look under my fridge and see if he's there? LOL

Well, did you find Krusty under your fridge? He's not under either couch or the entertainment center, not in the pantry, not in the fireplace...I'm cleaning and searching at the same time. I'm slow today.

Miranda, I thought Hermit crabs used shells from other species, and as they grow so they go off to find a bigger one....better check around anythign shell shaped, he might have found a new home to live in :D
