Moby wrap
Oh I hope someone knows about these things. My granddaughter in law wants a Moby Wrap for baby wearing! Since this is my first great, I want to make whatever she wants. I purchased some knit , as per Pinterest, but wonder if I can seam it so I don’t need 5.5 yards!
If you have made one, do you have any suggests? TIA

I looked at the link to Moby wraps and sometimes it just pays to purchase an item instead of making it. What about a beautiful baby quilt or burp cloths for baby instead? No limit to the cute things a baby would need.

I made one for a co-worker's daughter once. After reading all about them I found out that linen makes the best one. They say not to use a "stretchy" fabric as it stretches too much when baby is in it. But I'm not sure about that. Seems like they come in all different sorts of fabrics. I don't know how much she used it but it was something that she really wanted. It's the one & only thing I've ever made that I got paid for. It did take a lot of yardage.

My son and his wife both used them a lot for their children. My daughter in law made theirs. I would not seam the fabric, one long piece works best as you don't know where the seam will fall depending on baby's size, the seam may press against them. I don't think a knit would work well either, too much stretch. They are super simple to make though.

After seeing the images, I would buy one for sure. The prices are better than buying fabric. You can always add some cute receiving blankets and matching burp clothes made from flannel that you choose. Sometimes it is just better to buy what they want. I have made the receiving blankets and burp clothes for relatives who then asked for more. Liked them better than they thought they would
