I am soooo sending this to my son and daughter-in-law. Sometimes my grandson is a bit out of control.

I did that a time or two when my kiddies were small. My baby is now 37. I never tried it in a store, but they didn't know that I wouldn't. It really did work!

I never had a problem with kids in teh store. Their dad always went with us and he stayed in the car. if anyone misbehaved they had to go sit with dad in the car. We never bought candy off the rack by the checkout so they never got the chance to beg for it. I think my middle child had a tantrum once and had to go to the car and he never did it again. My kids could be wild at home but they were never ever allowed to act up away from home. Respect was the top of our list.

My son threw tantrums, too. One day he wanted to touch the neighbor man's car. AHEM. This car was always perfectly clean. So my son arranged himself on the side walk in such a way he wouldn't get hurt and threw a fit. While he was throwing the fit my elderly neighbor said his momma would fill up a quart jar with water and throw it at the kid. So we did. Well part of a jar. He threw another fit and got another jar full in the face. That was it for him, well, until he got home. He tried it again in the house and I nailed him with water and that was was the last tantrum.

That was funny. I remember YEARS AGO as a first time parent my son saw a little girl have a tantrum and got her way in the end. I mentioned it to my hubby and told him to be prepared. Well sure enough one afternoon he tried it on me. It was so funny to watch. When he was done I very calmly gave a little laugh told him he did a good job of acting like Jenny but the answer is still no. Then we went in and had lunch. The child never did it again.

that was awesome. Not sure I'd have the guts to pull it off, but it would have worked on my little guy.

This is my favorite ad of all time. Gets the point across beautifully. The father doesn't say a word.
