Oh and 2 fires within 30 miles of our house that burned over 55 hundred acres each and a couple of months ago one that threatened my MIL"s house.

It seems like this drought is never ending. Its so hot and no rain, we have huge cracks in the ground. I'm sorry that the cotton crop was a total loss. There was a huge brush fire in Georgetown,TX a couple of weeks ago. Its been windy most days too, so any spark gets out of control quickly.

I'm so sorry for all farmers. Here in Pa. we are late, because of rain. It has been bad all over.

I hate hearing about the crop loss for them and us.

I live in cotton country, too--central LA--about 3 hrs. from Marshall, but we are in a horrible drought too. The farmers are really hurting. We had to give up our garden after a month or so. We just couldn't keep enough water on it in this sandy soil.
