Default Mosquitos

Does anyone else have an abundance of mosquitos around your house. They make my skin crawl. They are hanging ont he screens, on the side of the house and walking out in the yard they look about as bad as the dandolines when the winds starts blowing. Now I'm itching again. Can't wait til the first freeze!

I think the birds are our best defense against skeeters and other bugs. Keep the birds happy, they eat a lot of bugs.

call your City managers and see if they plan to spray your neighborhood for them.

Here in Texas West Nile is a major concern and there have been deaths. Counties including Dallas and Denton have been doing aerial spraying. Can't wait for weather to get cooler so they go away. Be careful.

Why are you going outside without wearing mosquito protection such as Deet? Here in Texas mosquito are killing people, but the news says it IS happening all over the US this year. We are just having the most deaths. Protect yourself. Spray your own yard, spray your doors, screens, etc. Check for breeding places and eliminate them. Due to your unusual weather you seem to be having southern problems - mosquitos. This is how we deal with them. We wear protection, we spray our property, we eliminate breeding places. Good luck.

We had a very hot dry summer, there weren't too many around. We finally got rain and out they came. No standing water, except the bird bath, I change the water daily. The are black never saw those before.
