Figures - every time I ask my husband, "What the h*** is wrong with this computer??? It's doing ______." He comes in the room - the computer works fine.

Remember all those Paypal answers you all kindly gave??? Well, I sold the coat this morning to a local lady - met her and her husband at the bank and she paid cash. No need for Paypal..

Maybe I need to ask more questions.....

Yep Murphy is visiting you. Does it too anytime you call a repairman or go by to have them look at your car!

Glad you sold your coat. Hope you get to spend some of it at the LQS!

Actually, it'll be going towards airline tickets to go to NC next month! Unfortunately, I don't have much time to quilt - our house just went on the market and I need to focus on getting that sold (ie - keeping it clean and picked up!!) I hate that part!

We moved into this house a year ago October - my husband (a builder) assured me I could recycle ALL our boxes - this was it! Then the economy tanked and I have to get more boxes!! We've had several "this is the last move" houses...I should've known better!

When we sold our last house in Michigan, I kept it neat and clean all of the time. My DH did the same outside. It sat on the market for a while so I asked the realtor why it hadn't sold. She told me that buyers were not looking for such a nice well kept place. They wanted a house where everyone they knew could go and just mess around and not worry about taking care of the house. We lived in a resort area. Sometimes you just can't win. It finally sold and here we are in chilly Florida.

You just never know how people will react to a house - some want it in "model" condition and others can overlook all the normal everyday living stuff.

We had ours on the market as "by owner" 11 years ago, when a realtor came by on a Thursday and wanted to know if she could show it to her out of town clients that Saturday. I must have been crazy when I said yes. But I said it and then had to clean the place. I was even down on my hands and knees scrubbing grout in our entryway. The place looked wonderful! The potential buyers walked in and were there two seconds when my 4yr old looked up (vaulted ceilings) and said, "Mommy, look at that HUGE cobweb on the fan!" I couldn't believe it. Didn't even think to look there! The lady just laughed and said something about kids saying cute things. They made an offer by noon and the next weekend we were signing papers! They were the only people who saw the house.
