So cute! Did the mother deer take the baby back after it had been handled?

Yes.....not sure what had happened. The baby started crying so Meg picked it up and then noticed the mother deer moving forward in the woods so she put the fawn down at edge of woods and mom came and got the little thing. It wasn't even walking at first. Poor Meg wanted to be "like Audrey Hepburn and have a 'pet' deer". She knows the baby is better off though.....the Sherrif's Dept was a HUGE help.
