Hi Jaye-Lee...So glad to hear you have a 22 year old also. That makes 3 of us so far! I bet most people question your counting also! LOL I had also wondered if her being so small had anything to do with it. Now I know!

I use to have 2 large box turtles we found nears some woods. After a couple years we let them go on my FIL farm.

I have two painted turtles both taken from wild when babies then people wanted to put them back after ten years and I took them Zoo and Vet here both said they wouldnt survive one winter here especially if it gets as cold as it sometimes does One year we had forty below for two weeks The third is a Central American Land Tortoise same thing again and I knew he would never survive our winters

So do you still have them so they will survive? Mine were taken from the same area they were found! Yours sound very exotic! Will you post pictures of them?

Will post picks as soon as they are out of hibernation they sleep most of the winter only coming out a couple of times to eat and drink
