Looks like he's saying, "I'm more important than sewing now"!

I lost my 12year old Pheobe in March and am missing her so. Your beautiful fur baby sure makes me smile.

Awe, what a sweet looking kitty! Makes me want to reach in the screen and pet him/her! I love to hear them purring! I had 2 cats a few years ago, can't have any where I'm living now.

Your cat is the spitting image of my Shadow. He likes to lie down and get in front of my needle too. I move him over and he takes one paw and lays it on the fabric.

I sew in my basement, and I used to lay out the squares on the floor (didn't have a design wall). Inevitably, I 'd go down the next morning to find the quilt in total disarray - yes, we had two mischievous cats who would go to any length to be involved. Only one thing to do - just love them MORE!

Love this ! Your cat looks as if it is saying "go ahead, make my day and reach for the machine". Got to love cats, so very different from dogs.

LOL, he's an overzealous quilt inspector - wants to inspect each seam as they happen!! I love his little white toesies! What a handsome fellow!

My youngest boy was my "helper". He liked to hang out and "hold down" my blocks for me as I was sewing them. I let him do it for awhile (because it's just so cute) but then he started trying to bat at the needle as I was sewing and that ended that! He also started eating thread and plucking pins out of the pincushion and chewing on them when I wasn't looking, so sadly for his own safety he's now banned from the sewing room. He sits outside the gate and yells at me until I give him a catnip mouse, LOL.

Here he is, saying, "LOOK HOW CUTE I AM! PET ME NOW! *purr purr purr*"
So impossible to resist.
